Kaua‘i “resort bubble” program approved

On December 30th, Governor Ige announced his approval of Mayor Kawakami's request to implement a pre and post-travel testing program for visitors who stay in "resort bubbles" on Kauai. This rule change goes into effect January 5th. You can read the press release below for more information.

Innovation Grants Request for Proposals

The County of Kauai’s Office of Economic Development (OED) is requesting proposals for its Innovation Grant for Fiscal Year 2020-21. OED will be accepting applications for innovative projects to generate short-term and long-term economic growth and diversification on Kauai. The intent of the grant is to support new programs or projects that advance innovation by identifying and solving local problems in the areas of small business, technology, transportation, agriculture, local manufacturing, circular economy and tourism in Kauai County.
