We want to share an important reminder that Hawaii Restaurant Card funds expire Tuesday, December 15th, 2020.
The Hawaii Restaurant Card is a prepaid debit card. The $500 cards were mailed to displaced workers who are currently receiving unemployment insurance benefits. A second round of the cards were mailed to PUA recipients. The program is funded by $75 million of CARES funds and is intended to support Hawaii’s restaurant industry as well as displaced workers.
· If you received one of the Hawaii Restaurant Cards, we encourage you to use your card to support our local Kauai restaurants before the funds expire. Any remaining funds on the Card after the expiration date will be returned to the State of Hawai‘i.
